chocolatechocolatechocolatechocolate

This month's Last Thursday Club is entitled 'How good is chocolate?'. Did you see that, it contains the word 'chocolate'. That means that chocolate is almost certain to be involved. The talk will be delivered by Penny Street from SNW / the National Centre of Business and Sustainability, and will inform us about an initiative to eliminate child and forced labour in the cocoa industry. Allegedly there will also be the chance to taste some, what was it again? Oh yes, there'll be some chocolate-sampling. But you wouldn't be interested in that......would you?

While we're on the subject, what's your favourite chocolate product?

Yum. Can't wait. Three things I know about chocolate:

Apparently it stimulates seratonin in a similar way to THC in marijuana but at about one tenth of the strength... clearly I wouldn't know about any of that business;

Good choccy has antioxidants that fight cancer-causing free radicals. Once wrote about this in 'Here's Health' if anyone wants a copy;

Milk chocolate is pants, vegan dark chocolate is the only way to go...

I haven't finished the experiment yet, but the initial signs are good. One piece of dark chocolate an hour before exercise is supposed to make those feelgood chemicals kick in sooner - seemingly the difference between people who enjoy exercise and those who don't is the time it takes for their seratonin to get going. Funny, I always thought it was that they were better at sport....
Anyway. It's a good excuse to eat chocolate. I'll have to perform more exhaustive testing before I get a conclusive result. How was your experiment about being more productive at work if you're unable to move from your desk because you played 5-a-side?

that will have to wait a week - whoever stole my new mac also stole my gym bag. no gym bag, no football kit, and as I am no longer at school, that means I don't have to play in my pants. phew.
